Camp Gundalow, in Greenland NH, is seeking an Assistant Director of Camp Programming for the summer 2025 season! Our camp, a traditional day camp serves youth ages 5-12 while coaching campers to build relationships, try new things, make memories, and ensure camper safety all while having fun and acting as positive role models. We strive to build supportive and empowering teams to help all team members show up as their best and most authentic selves, so that you can learn, grow and thrive during your tenure at the Y.
This position is responsible for oversight of all specialty program areas, to include staff supervision and training, safety management, theme days and applicable support of other camp areas.
Responsibilities :
- Acts as a collaborative member of the camp leadership team
- Supports pre-camp training
- Supervise, evaluate and coach all Program Specialists
- Plan and implement weekly Theme days and events as well as Morning and Afternoon Ceremonies
- Establish a fun and developmentally engaging environment
- Maintain an attitude of positive flexibility to meet the day camp program needs
- Oversee and engage with campers and staff in every capacity throughout the day during assigned shifts and activities
