Livestock and Greenhouse Management
The Granite YMCA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Livestock and Greenhouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our farm program. As a key member of our program staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our animals and plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the livestock and greenhouse areas, including animal care and plant maintenance
- Collaborate with the Program Director to develop and implement farm-based programs
- Supervise staff and ensure that they are properly trained to care for the animals and plants
- Develop and implement strategies to promote character development among campers and staff
Requirements
A minimum of high school diploma with at least 2 years of experience or related college credits involving animal care and plant management is required. Ability to build positive relationships with youth ages 8-15 years old and staff members is essential.
