Farm Director Job Description
The Granite YMCA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Director to lead our farm program. As a key member of our program staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the farm.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the farm, including animal care and maintenance of farm facilities
- Collaborate with the Program Director to develop and implement farm-based programs
- Supervise staff and ensure that they are properly trained to care for the animals and maintain the farm facilities
- Develop and implement strategies to promote character development among campers and staff
Requirements
A minimum of high school diploma with at least 2 years of experience or related college credits involving animal care is required. Ability to build positive relationships with youth ages 8-15 years old and staff members is essential.
