About the Role
The Granite YMCA is recruiting a skilled Unit Leader to lead our trip-based camp program for the summer season. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, build relationships with campers, and contribute to a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging programs that promote character development among campers.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Support the Director and fellow counselors in ensuring camper safety and well-being.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude throughout the summer.
Requirements:
- A minimum age requirement of 20 years old.
- CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain them.
- Availability to attend training sessions before and during the camp season.
- A commitment to upholding the values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Courage.
