Duties
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions with precision.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their purchases.
- Process sales transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and register operations.
- Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance the shopping experience.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items or promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area.
- Organize and bag all take-out and delivery orders.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly while maintaining phone etiquette.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to engage with customers positively and effectively promote products through upselling techniques.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
- Willingness to learn about product offerings and participate in product demos.
