Location : Brentwood, CA (one summer month in Malibu, CA)
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7 : 30am-3 : 30pm
Rate : $45 per hour, plus benefits
Private family in Brentwood is seeking a full-time Laundress to oversee the laundry operations in their private residence. Hours are 7 : 30am-3 : 30pm Monday-Friday. Can be flexible. Must be willing to work one month in the summer in Malibu.
- Tasks include handwashing, ironing (including linens) steaming and pressing all household clothing, linens and textiles
- Must be knowledgeable on stain removing techniques and specialized care required for a diverse number of fabrics
- Perform routine repairs on clothing and miscellaneous household items
- Maintain linen closets, incorporating correct folding of all items
- Maintaining principles and children’s wardrobes, ensuring all items are organized, shoes cleaned and buffed, as needed
- Comprehensive understanding of industrial laundry equipment and their operations
- Unpacking and packing for travel, as needed
- Detailed tracking of all dry-cleaning items
- Assist additional household staff with housekeeping duties, as needed
- Provide coverage for housekeeping staff, as needed
