Live In Private Chef (Mandarin Speaking) for Affluent Family
Atherton, CA
Monday through Saturday, 6-day workweek and live in
Salary up DOE plus Full Benefits (Health Insurance, paid vacation)
A private family in Atherton is seeking a skilled and experienced Mandarin-speaking Private Chef for a long-term role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Asian cuisines, including Chinese, Malaysian, Korean, Japanese, and other Asian culinary styles, and will work to provide fresh, high-quality meals for the family.
Plan weekly and monthly menus tailored to the family’s preferences and dietary needs.
Source and shop for high-quality, fresh ingredients, with a focus on Chinese and Asian specialty markets.
Prepare daily meals, including :
Early breakfast (served at 7 : 30 AM)
Lunch for parents at home or to-go (around 12 : 00 PM, a few days a week)
Dinner (served at approximately 5 : 45 PM)
Prepare meals for holidays, parties, and occasional catered gatherings for family members and guests.
Ensure the kitchen is organized, clean, and well-stocked at all times.
Requirements :
Fluency in Mandarin (preferred to communicate with other Mandarin-speaking staff).
Expertise in a variety of Asian cuisines, particularly Chinese and Malaysian dishes.
Familiarity with Chinese markets and specialty ingredients plus normal markets
Ability to accommodate special dietary requirements and preferences.
Previous experience working as a Private Chef or in a similar role.
Flexibility to accommodate family schedules and occasional extended hours.
Professional, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality.
