Government Bid Assistant
The Bid Assistant will be responsible for evaluating and submitting of bids, communication with agencies and dealer network as well as coordinating with Grasshopper Factory Sales Representatives.
Essential Functions:
- Research opportunities using Government bid posting websites
- Respond to email request for Request for Quotes (RFQ's) as assigned
- Create and maintain contract documents as well as submission of bid documents in a timely manner
- Handle customer inquiry and bid inquiry calls
- Evaluate pricing, specifications and bid requirements
- Register on procurement and cooperative purchasing portals, as needed
- Be able to communicate programs and RFQ analytics to Factory Sales Representatives and dealers/distributors.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Strong listening skills in person and via telephone
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Good understanding and application of business math
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Customer service focused with the ability to manage difficult customer situations.
