Title: Learning & Development Program Coordinator

Reports to: Senior Program Manager, Learning & Development

Date: April 2025

Position Overview:

The Learning & Development (L&D) Program Coordinator supports a dynamic portfolio of leadership development & talent retention programs, including a mix of long-term cohort programs, virtual certificates, and seminars and workshops created for business employees. This position works closely with the L&D Senior Program Manager to plan and execute internal and external logistics for the entire L&D department. The department runs approximately forty sessions per year.

A key member of the L&D team, the L&D Program Coordinator keeps the engine running and contributes to the success of the department and subsequently the Chamber. This position is best suited for an energetic person who handles multiple projects simultaneously and knows how to prioritize, manages tight deadlines, and maintains a cool and calm demeanor while interacting with high-level professionals in Boston's business community.

Responsibilities:

  • Streamlining procedures and processes with efficiency and organization
  • Serving as participant liaison, assisting with and ensuring their success in our programs
  • Leading overall event prep (booking catering, printing name tags, preparing staff memos, seeking volunteers, running checklists, gathering items)
  • Creating a warm and welcoming on-site experience for our participants
  • Providing administrative support for the L&D department while also collaborating with cross-departmental teams
  • Supporting the Director of L&D on research, planning, and curriculum development

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or two to three years of equivalent experience in administration, event planning, education, or customer service/hospitality
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Experience with data entry and CRMs, as well as the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, but also work collaboratively as a team
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with some early mornings (starting at 7am) and some late evenings (until as late as 7pm) with advance notice
  • Outgoing and engaging personality, someone who likes to be around people
  • Commitment and interest in leadership development, adult learning, and business
  • Ability to manage relationships and projects with multiple internal and external constituencies
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and complete projects across potentially competing objectives and timelines
  • Strong workplace ethics and values

Salary: $59,000 - $65,000

Physical Requirements:

This is a sedentary job by nature but does require travel. Requires being able to sit at a desk and use a computer and phone for most of the day. When traveling, an employee must be mobile enough to get around events and assist with setup and breakdown including lifting 25lbs or more. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Salary : $59,000 - $65,000
