POSITION SUMMARY:
The Delivery Driver supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery of the meals to the Feeding Program sites and assisting with the packing of meals and packing of coolers. The Delivery Driver must load and unload coolers at each site.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Organize meals and materials in delivery vehicle.
- Assist with packing of vehicle and unload equipment as needed.
- Timely drop-offs & pick-ups to sponsor site locations.
- Ensure meal coolers matches delivery requirements.
- Follow scheduled route for daily deliveries.
- Ensure meals are delivered in a timely manner.
- Keep vehicle organized, clean and tidy.
- Maintain truck to ensure it remains in good driving condition.
- Return supplies and materials to appropriate locations in preparation for the next day.
- Maintain organization inside the delivery vehicle and production facility.
- Operate vehicle properly and safely.
- Monitor daily vehicle mileage logs for accuracy and completion.
- Ensure vehicle has required gasoline and is ready for the next day.
- Oversee food program compliance with vehicle maintenance and cleaning requirements in coordination with YMCA Property Manager.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with site program participants and liaisons.
- Attend all staff meetings and trainings.
- Report any problems, issues, or departmental concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Provide for a strong professional image in appearance, uniform and conduct of staff.
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 21 years of age and insurable
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- A clean driving record with no moving violations
- Proficient at driving and parking large vehicles
- Dependable and hardworking
