Description:
The Greater Lowell Technical High School seeks a skilled educator to fill a teaching position. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the trade and be able to develop and implement individualized curriculum.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized curriculum for students.
- Implement individualization techniques to meet the needs of each student.
- Develop and implement individualized testing and student assessment.
- Maintain a well-organized and safe classroom environment.
- Manage an effective learning environment that promotes academic success.
- Keep an accurate and up-to-date instructional binder with policies, procedures, and related information.
- Stay current with changes in industry, technology, and education.
- Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops related to field(s) of instruction.
- Write new curriculum or modify existing curriculum as program changes occur.
- Maintain up-to-date competency reporting system.
- Ensure all grade sheets, verification sheets, etc. are completed on time.
- Maintain a secure learning environment, locking teaching areas when not in use.
- Supervise students and assume total responsibility during assigned time.
- Arrive at class/shop before scheduled time to ensure classes begin on schedule.
- Arrive at duty on time to provide supervision.
- Use I.M.C. and S.M.C. for research and related projects.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a current MA Journeyman and Master Plumber license.
- Possession of a MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Educator's license in Plumbing or minimum qualifications to obtain said licensure.
