Job Summary:
Positions include 9, 10, and 12 month work calendars and may be full-time or part-time. Full-time employees are eligible for health/dental benefits, long-term disability, and life insurance.
All district employees are required to participate in the Nebraska Public Employee Retirement System (NPERS), contributions by each employee (set by state law) are matched by the District.
All classified positions receive paid leave based on your work assignment.
Qualifications:
Applicants for maintenance, custodial, or food service and expected to have experience in their field and a prior work history.

DEPARTMENT: Food Service
JOB TITLE: General Food Service Worker
D.O.T. # PART-TIME (3-6.75 hrs./day) or FULL-TIME (7-8 hrs./day)
D.O.T. CLASS:
Sedentary Light Medium X Heavy X Very Heavy
REQUIREMENTS:
A. Educational Level: High School Diploma (Preferred)
B. Experience: Some food service (Preferred)
C. Certification: ASFSA (Preferred)
D. Expectations: Congenial with co-workers. Congenial with customers. Follows directions of supervisor(s)
REPORTS TO: Principal, Food Service Director, High School or Middle School Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare serving line to hold hot food for lunch
- Prepare food for lunch, according to health codes
- Keep serving line stocked
- Help serve students and staff during lunch time
- Keep work area clean
- Help with condiments and anything else needed for the meal
- Store leftover food and document amount and temperatures
- Wash dishes after lunch is served and in-between lines, as needed
- Clean dishwashing sink and area at end of shift
- Any other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Never 0%, Occasional 1-32%, Frequent 33-66%, Constant 67%
Never: climbing, driving
Occasional: sitting, bending, pulling, lifting, lifting 10# max (varies by position), carrying 20 ft.
Frequent: walking, stooping, reaching
Constant: standing
