Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes learning through play and exploration.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate various subjects including physical education, arts, and literacy.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive interactions among students.
- Assess and document children’s progress and development in accordance with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns related to behavior or development.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and techniques.
Qualifications
- CDA or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience in daycare settings or similar environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and child welfare practices is essential.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.
- Strong skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and tutoring young children.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their growth in a supportive environment.
