We are seeking a friendly and organized Hostess/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to welcome guests, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth flow of service in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, restaurant policies, and special events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations.
- Utilize POS systems effectively for managing guest check-ins and tracking reservations.
- Address guest concerns promptly and courteously to enhance guest relations.
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food service operations in a restaurant or hotel setting is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Strong phone etiquette skills to manage inquiries professionally.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
