The Green Mountain Club seeks a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Mt. Mansfield Alpine Ambassador. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with thousands of visitors each year, educating them on the importance of preserving the alpine tundra ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors at the Mt. Mansfield Visitor Center and provide information on fragile alpine tundra ecosystems.
- Collect daily visitor use counts and maintain string fencing, signage, and rock walls on and around the summit.
- Participate in public engagement and customer service activities, promoting minimal impact camping practices.
