Are you a seasoned engineering leader with a passion for driving large-scale renewable energy projects? A leading EPC specializing in utility-scale solar is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead technical strategy, oversee engineering teams, and optimize project execution.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Lead solar engineering, system performance modeling, and CAD design activities for construction projects.
- Provide technical expertise for development and RFP support projects.
- Evaluate new solar opportunities and support due diligence processes.
- Collaborate with legal teams on contract negotiations with suppliers and customers.
- Guide field teams on plant commissioning, testing, and performance optimization.
- Improve project planning tools and resource allocation within the engineering group.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 10 years in the solar or renewable energy industry.
- Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams.
- Expertise in PV system design, performance analysis, and industry standards.
- Advanced proficiency in PVSyst, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (5-15%).
