Director of Engineering – C&I/DG Solar Energy
We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead the design, development, and implementation of commercial and industrial (C&I) and distributed generation (DG) solar projects in the New York area. The company has recently acquired a large pipeline of projects, presenting a significant opportunity for an engineering leader to drive innovation and execution in the clean energy sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a solar engineering strategy aligned with company goals.
- Lead the design and implementation of C&I and DG solar projects across New York.
- Optimize system performance, efficiency, and reliability for a growing project pipeline.
- Stay ahead of industry advancements in solar technology, energy storage, and grid integration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, utilities, and regulatory agencies to drive successful project execution.
- Provide technical expertise and support business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of solar engineering experience, with a strong track record in C&I and DG solar projects.
- Deep technical knowledge in photovoltaic systems, energy modeling, and project management.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Experience working with utilities, permitting authorities, and regulatory frameworks in New York.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PE, PMP, LEED AP) are a plus.
