Key Responsibilities
- Solicit, receive, and evaluate material bids from vendors and suppliers.
- Analyze and qualify proposals to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Develop and author detailed scopes of supply for procurement packages.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions, including total contract value, delivery schedules, and other key provisions.
- Manage the full lifecycle of material contracts from inception through closeout.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies, non-conformance issues, and disputes with vendors.
- Develop and execute strategic procurement initiatives to support project and company goals.
Additional Responsibilities
- Uphold and demonstrate commitment to the company’s Core Principles and corporate culture.
- Interpret owner contracts to identify and incorporate critical flow-down requirements into purchase orders.
- Support the pre-construction team in identifying and vetting vendors to ensure compliance with internal standards and owner expectations.
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
- Create detailed schedules to be included within the scope of supply documents.
- Generate and manage change orders and purchase orders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all vendors adhere to company Quality and Safety standards.
- Lead the handover process of executed contracts to the project management team.
- Occasional travel required for site visits, vendor evaluations, and other project-related activities.
Key Knowledge & Skills
- Exceptional writing skills, including technical writing experience.
- Solid understanding of construction project management workflows and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of contract terminology and structure.
- Effective negotiation skills with a proven ability to influence and drive favorable outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; able to develop creative, value-driven solutions.
- Proactive, self-directed, and organized with the ability to take ownership of assigned tasks.
- In-depth understanding of contract scopes and procurement documentation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Vista ERP system is a plus.
Salary : $90,000 - $125,000
