We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Wind Site Manager - Operations and Maintenance to lead the operations and maintenance activities for our wind farm site in Arkansas.

Job Summary:

As the Wind Site Manager - Operations and Maintenance, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and safety of our wind energy site in Arkansas. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and expertise in wind turbine operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wind energy systems, be safety-focused, and excel in managing teams and site resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management: Oversee the overall operation of the wind farm, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and safety in all aspects of site operations. Monitor the performance of the wind turbines and other equipment and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintenance Oversight: Manage and ensure the timely, effective maintenance of wind turbines, substation equipment, electrical systems, and other site infrastructure. This includes both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technicians and operational staff. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment while ensuring continuous professional development and adherence to safety standards.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all activities comply with company safety standards, industry regulations, and local laws. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee the tracking of operational performance, energy production, and availability of the wind turbines. Regularly report on site performance, incidents, maintenance activities, and KPIs to senior management.
• Budget and Resource Management: Manage the budget for site operations and maintenance, including overseeing the allocation of resources, procurement of necessary parts and equipment, and managing operational costs.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the wind farm site and corporate teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors and local authorities.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive operational excellence by continuously evaluating site operations and identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and optimization.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in wind turbine operations, maintenance, and management. Ideally expericne with vestas Turbines
• Proven experience managing wind farm sites or similar renewable energy projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team.
• Solid understanding of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick and informed decisions in a high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency in the use of SCADA systems, maintenance management software, and other industry tools.
• Ability to work remotely and handle on-site challenges in a self-sufficient manner.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
