Job Description
Position : Upholstery Trainee
Department : Upholstery
Primary Responsibilities : (guest interaction, ordering responsibilities, clean up duties, clerical responsibilities, etc.)
Replace fabric and fabric like materials on soft furniture
Replace / mend window shades
Replace / install / repair carpet floor covering
Replace / install window coverings
Upholstering of walls
Secondary Responsibilities :
General Fabric Installation and repair
Setting up production set-up
Normal Working Hours : (Shift, days)
8 : 00am-4 : 30pm. Some weekend, overtime, and holiday work required

Past Work Experience Requirements : (Type of work, number of years required, equivalent experience, etc.)
Previous upholstery and carpet laying experience preferred
Educational Requirements : (Degree / Certification, highest required / preferred, field of study)
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Communication Skills Requirements : (Verbal : phone, in-person, group; Written : memos, documents)
Must be able to understand and follow directions both written and orally.
Must be able to communicate both written and orally
Technical Requirements :
Must be able to demonstrate basic math operations skills
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read measurements with a ruler and yardstick
Participation in workshops, certification programs, and other training is required.
