Position: Deckhand
Department: Tree Tops Outdoor Pool
Primary Responsibilities: (guest interaction, ordering responsibilities, clean up duties, clerical responsibilities, etc.)
- Provide customer service – set ups, Food/Beverage
- Ability to anticipate guest’s needs
- Readily available to serve at all times while performing a multitude of duties
- Continuous cleaning of area of responsibility
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Teamwork assistance with guests
- Daily preparation work for guests’ service
- Heavy and light cleaning done daily and weekly
Normal Working Hours: (Shift, days)
- Mostly day shifts – some evenings
- Times of day will vary
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria
Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type of work, number of years required, equivalent experience, etc.)
- Food and beverage experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
Educational Requirements: (Degree/Certification, highest required/preferred, field of study)
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Some college preferred
Communication Skills Requirements: (Verbal: phone, in-person, group; Written: memos, documents)
- Excellent grammar and verbal skills
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Maturity
- Self assurance
Technical Requirements:
- Good organizational skills
- Aid with daily and weekly ordering
Required Supervision: (Reports to, Supervision provided, number of people to supervise)
- Supervision is provided. Reports to the Pool Managers
Other Requirements:
- Consistent demonstration of the Ten Essential Attributes
- Flexibility to work schedules that are adjusted daily
- Must assume responsibilities of Locker Room, Greeter, and Food Runner if needed
