About the Company:
Our client is a Series A sports-tech startup that is currently taking over the space!! This is a newly-created position that will own the FP&A function, collaborate directly with the co-founder, build out a rockstar team, and be instrumental in future fundraising efforts!!

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial model and forecasting procedures.
- Play a pivotal role in strategic planning initiatives, utilizing financial insights to steer strategy and decisions regarding capital allocation for the business.
- Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations crucial for strategic decision-making, such as assessing investment opportunities, exploring market expansion, or launching new products.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align financial objectives with the company's overarching strategic goals.
- Act as a financial partner by creating and maintaining financial models supporting diverse business needs, offering insights and guidance to functional leaders during decision-making processes.
- Manage the creation of monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial forecasts and reporting packages for executive leadership and investors, encompassing financial statements, variance analyses, and KPI dashboards.
- Enhance financial planning processes, reporting methodologies, and analysis techniques, incorporating best practices and leveraging the latest technologies to enhance efficiency.
- Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure accurate and insightful reporting.
- Conduct financial ratio analysis, benchmarking, and trend analysis to evaluate the company's financial performance and pinpoint areas for improvement or potential risks.
- Evaluate cash management practices, including cash forecasting, monitoring cash flow, segregating player balances from operating accounts, and implementing treasury controls. Identify any potential cash flow issues or inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with various departments to collect data, comprehend business drivers, and support decision-making across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance
- 5 years of related experience, preferably investment banking, pe, corporate finance, or fp&A
- Demonstrate in-depth financial modeling knowledge
- Have experience working with various systems, such as Excel
- Have experience building and managing teams
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
