Job Summary
The Enhancement Laborer is responsible for using hand and/or power tools or equipment to perform a wide range of landscape duties. The most common duties will be laying sod, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, racking, and all other property enhancement duties as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities
Using hand and/or power tools or equipment to perform a wide range of landscape and irrigation duties such as:
Laying sod
Planting
Watering
Fertilizing
Digging
Raking
Installing sprinklers
Installing mortar less segmental concrete masonry wall units
Additionally, employees are expected to abide by all internal control & compliance practices to:
Safeguard assets from theft and misuse
Ensure segregation of duties to minimize fraud
Comply with business ethics, applicable laws, and regulations
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Periodically reconcile physical assets to accounting records
Required Skills/Abilities
Use hand equipment with mechanized moving blades such as gas-powered shears
Use manual hand tools such as shovels
Work from elevated heights such as an 8 A-frame ladder
Use a hand shovel for extended period
Moves soil, equipment, and materials, digs holes, and plant trees, shrubs, and flowers
6 months commercial landscape experience preferred but not required
Work near or about natural bodies of water
Ability to read and write the English language
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required
Education and Experience
High school graduate or equivalent desired
Previous outside construction, landscape, or similar field experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must
6 months commercial landscape experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
Must maintain regular and reliable attendance at a level acceptable to the company, including the ability to work overtime, holidays, evenings, or weekends, as necessary
Position requires extended work hours and flexibility in scheduling
This work may be performed outside in all sorts of weather conditions (i.e., hot, humid, cold, wet, windy, rain, snow) which means the person will need to be adequately prepared. May be required to work weekends and holiday
Must be able to lift 40 pounds
Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs)
Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
