Position Summary
The Construction Business Developer is responsible for producing a result’s orientated sales pipeline for the Greenery construction teams. This position is responsible for seeking and developing new business relationships and construction opportunities within a designated strategic sales plan. An ideal candidate must possess strong social skills, be self-motivated, organized, detail oriented and have a competitive drive to develop leads and opportunities to close contracts and expand the company’s growth.
This position reports to the Director of Landscape Construction, and works closely with the Branch Managers, Estimators and the overall Sales Team.

Duties/ Responsibilities
- Develop business relationships and gains construction opportunities
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline for landscape construction projects
- Communicate with Clients, Landscape Architects and other stakeholders
- Manage a bid calendar and meeting deadlines delivering accurate and detailed packages
- Work closely with Estimators, Project Managers and the Business Development Director developing budgets, proposals, revisions and value engineering options
- Provide risk assessment and feedback to the operations team as required
- Ultimately working toward a result’s orientated construction sales
- Manage Aspire and other integrated software systems to maximize sales performance
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities
- Self-motivated and possess excellent time-management skills
- Possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Have experiential knowledge of the landscape or green industry
- Have a clear understanding of the construction process, means and methods
- Possess strong organizational and digital skills
- Have knowledge of multiple software platforms
- Detailed oriented
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in the Landscape Industry or a related Construction Field is preferred
- A minimum of two to three years of direct sales experience
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to travel
- Overnight stays may be required
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
