The Plant Health Care Technician / Spray Technician is responsible for assuring the health and aesthetic quality of all ornamental shrubs, trees, and turf through proper horticultural applications

Plant Health Care Technician / Spray Technician Responsibilities:
- Plant and maintain plants. ex) Remove weeds, fertilize, water plants, shrubs, and trees
- Requires use of hand tools and gardening tools
- Harvest plants, and transplant or pot them with proper labels
- Monitor and record the plants' leaf coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease
- Operate tractors, other machinery, and fertilizing equipment
- Cultivate, harvest, and spray fields and plants
- Inspect plants to assess quality
- Dig, cut, and transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs
- Move containerized shrubs, plants, and trees, using wheelbarrows or tractors
- Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping
- Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, and other materials to condition soil, using wheelbarrows or carts and shovels
- Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control system
- Responsible and safe application of both granular and liquid fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides in adherence to all local and state regulations
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Plant Healthcare Technician / Spray Tech Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience with chemical or spray applications or 4 or more years’ experience in the green industry
- Strong attention to detail
- Pesticide applicators license or in process
- Valid driver’s license
- Adhere to Company’s safety policy and ensure that the public and co-workers will be safe while performing job duties.
