Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for working at many different locations, performs general and varied grounds maintenance and gardening work; mow, edge, trim, plant lawns, soil, plants, trees, planters, and related areas using a wide variety of commercial and industrial hand and power equipment. Production Supervisor ensures carrying out daily and weekly procedures that include Safety assurance, Equipment assignment, carrying out proper crew staffing per property needs, carrying out production efficiency as Production Managers have directed.
The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Production Manager, and carries out planning and engagement from Production Manager direction as necessary to produce work with teams assigned to Production Supervisor. This is an hourly position and therefore requires daily check in with Production Manager to ensure alignment with managements goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities
-
Coordinate daily tasks according to scheduled routes
-
Monitors attendance and productivity of crew / crews as assigned
-
Provides supervision and training to all crew members
-
Reviews daily work orders, routes, inspect and verify that equipment is set for assigned crew, and materials loaded are adequate to complete the daily assignment

Assists crew members to complete maintenance tasks for daily operation

Assists crew members to adjust and train as necessary to carry out operations
-
Works on jobsites and reviews & assess job specifics
Duties/Responsibilities

Safety - Ensure that all safety policies of company are followed

Participate with Morning Dispatch of crews
-
Monitor Daily Crew Performance
-
Anticipate and Evaluate Equipment Needs - Manage crew equipment inventory and report repair issues
-
Participate with training crew persons on proper landscape maintenance practices

Quality – Work with crews to ensure that The Greenery level of quality is maintained

May use landscaping tools or operate small equipment as needed

Adhere to Company’s safety policy and ensure that the public and co-workers will be safe while performing job duties

Leads all efforts of crew work for the day’s events (driving to site, management of materials, quality of work, sign off on inspection reports, communication in field, care of materials and tools, managing overtime, illustrating safety measures, etc.)

Reinforces company culture with crew (attire, communication, work ethic, safety, attitude)

Demonstrates organization and electronic usage capability (i.e., using phone, computers, etc.)

Completes all required paperwork and submissions accurately and timely

Daily time review and accuracy

Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities
-
Comfortable and capable using minimal technology
-
Strong attention to detail
-
Must have a valid driver’s license and three years verifiable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
-
Must pass a Drug Screen
-
Ability to understand/follow directions and take instructions in English
-
Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) a plus
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must
Education and Experience
-
High school graduate or equivalent desired
-
Previous outside construction, landscape, or similar field experience
-
Must have prior work experience as a Foreman or Crew Lead
-
Must have prior experience in operating small machinery such as lawnmower, weed eaters, backpack blowers and other landscaping equipment
-
Prior experience driving ½ or ¾ ton trucks, with a 20 foot trailer attached, fully loaded is desired
