Description
Part-Time Custodian
Under the supervision of the Custodial Manager and the Lead Custodians, the part-time Custodian works closely with the Custodial team to maintain a clean and safe environment for the general public. Custodians maintain equipment and other supplies while dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general cleaning. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a 25-hour work week. Occasional weekend and holiday hours. Schedule is fliexible.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish
- Ensure public facilities are well-maintained and stocked with product (restrooms, hand-washing stations, hand-sanitizer stations)
- Ensure pathways are debris free. Clean snow from the sidewalks.
- Collect garbage and recycling throughout the facility
- Maintain clean picnic areas
- Assist with small cleaning and repair projects
- Notify management of the need for repairs
- Respond to radio calls for Custodial services
- Other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Valid NC driver’s license preferred
- Knowledge of small power tool use preferred
- Self-driven and motivated
- Positive Attitude
Environmental Factors:
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Frequent lifting, bending, reaching above shoulder lever, climbing stairs and prolonged standing
- Use of commercial strength cleaning chemicals
