Job Title: Part-Time Rentals Coordinator
Expected Weekly Hours: 29.5 on average
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and organized person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and execution of rental services for the Greensboro Science Center. The coordinator will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics, timely deliveries, and high-quality customer service for various events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and private parties. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge Needed:
- Event Planning and Coordination: A basic understanding of event management, including pre-event planning, day-of coordination, and post-event follow-up.
- Customer Service: Experience in providing exceptional customer service, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Logistics Management: Familiarity with the logistics of scheduling deliveries and pickups, managing inventory, and coordinating with vendors.
- Basic Software Proficiency: Comfort with software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and any event or rental management software.
Demonstrate Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Ensure all aspects of event rentals, including items, schedules, and communication, are accurate and organized.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation: Work with clients to understand event needs, offering rental solutions and providing quotes based on event specifications.
- Event Coordination: Coordinate all logistical aspects of event rentals, including scheduling, deliveries, and pick-ups.
- Vendor and Supplier Communication: Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of rented items, and follow up on any issues or changes to orders.
- Inventory Management: Track and manage rental inventory, ensuring items are cleaned, repaired, and prepared for future events.
- On-Site Event Support: Be present on-site when needed to supervise setup, breakdown, and resolve any rental issues during the event.
- Problem Resolution: Address any client concerns or logistical issues during the event, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Maintain event records and reports on rental inventory and coordination details, providing feedback on event success and areas for improvement.
- Other duties as assigned
