Our client, a midsized construction firm, has an immediate need for a controller. The controller will report directly to the CFO and will be primarily responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting functions.

Duties include :
Overseeing all accounting staff.
- Managing the budget process, including forecasting and monitoring variances
- Producing timely financial statements, monthly and annually.
- Maintaining and improving accounting policies and procedures.
- Cash flow analysis.
- Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics.
- Reviewing staff's work, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Identifying and managing financial risks.
- Identifying trends, efficiencies, and areas for cost reduction.
- Coordinating the annual audit process with external auditors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Candidates for the controller position should have a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
