Job Description:
The Skilled Maintenance Worker is an experienced member of The Groden Network's (The Network) Maintenance team and is responsible for performing both skilled and general duties involving one or more specialized skills in the building trades to include carpentry, plumbing and electrical work; maintain and repair a variety of Network buildings and perform related work as required; must maintain appropriate budget approval.
Education, Experience and Special Skills:
- High School degree
- Valid and appropriate Rhode Island Driver's license and acceptable driving record at time of hire and must maintain throughout employment
- Five years employment in general maintenance work in the above-described trades; two years of increasingly responsible experience performing one or more specialized duties within the building trades
- Skill in the operation of mechanical equipment and tools
- Operate snowplow in designated locations to ensure snow removal; remove snow from curbs, sidewalks, walkways, etc.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
