Job Title: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Schedule: Part-Time (20 hours)
General Position Description: Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist with preparing materials/ data collection for school-age students ranging from Grades K-12.
SLPA will assist in:
- Developing needed materials (e.g., communication notebooks, pictures, etc.)
- Collecting data sheets from classroom teachers weekly and assessing accuracy
- Inputting student data weekly on the Speech and Language excel sheet for the quarter
- Updating personal communication devices
Education, Experience and Special Skills;
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- College student in a related field (e.g., communication disorders, psychology, education) is preferred but not necessary if the applicant is able to perform the job duties
- Basic computer skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Organized and good time management
- Familiarity with Augmentative Communication devices, communication software (e.g., ProLoQuo, LAMP), or other supplementary communication modes is a PLUS.
- ASHA SLPA certification is a PLUS
