We are excited to announce the opening of our preschool and kindergarten classroom in Smithfield, where we provide a nurturing and innovative environment for young children with disabilities. This RIDE-approved classroom, already established and welcoming students, is designed with a maximum capacity of six children to ensure focused, personalized, and individualized learning experiences.
As the teacher, you will lead a team supported by an exceptional 2:3 staff-to-student ratio. Our staff members hold Bachelor's-level training in behavior management and the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You will also benefit from onsite collaboration with a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Occupational Therapist (OT), and Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to student success.

Compensation rate is based on experience and education.

Position Description:
Coordinate student programs including planning goals, designing instructional programs, scheduling and monitoring programs; complete/monitor completion of documents for staff and students; effectively arrange physical environment to foster maximum learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field (master's degree preferred).
- RI Department of Education certification in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD/DD).
- One -year experience as a special education teacher preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for special education and a commitment to improving the lives of children with special needs.
- Must have a valid driver's license and insured auto.
