Dog Bather

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing and grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and possess strong skills in animal handling and care.

Responsibilities

• Bathe pets using appropriate techniques and products to ensure cleanliness and comfort.
• Brush and dry pets after bathing, checking for any skin issues or abnormalities.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for both pets and staff during grooming sessions.
• Handle animals gently and effectively, ensuring their safety throughout the grooming process.
• Assist with basic animal restraint as needed during grooming procedures.
• Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ needs and any observations made during grooming.
• Support the overall operation of the facility by keeping grooming areas organized and stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling is preferred.
• Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus.
• Ability to handle various breeds of dogs and other animals safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of animal care principles, including basic veterinary knowledge, is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.
• Certification or experience as a veterinary assistant or in equine care is an advantage.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
