Bagging Associate

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with constant exposure to dust and dirt. Candidate must be reliable, flexible, detail-oriented and a positive team player.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate an automated bagging system
• Operate fork lifts both in warehouse and off road
• Manage inventory and maintain quality control
• Count pallets and bags
• Gain in-depth knowledge of current product line
• Maintain clean, neat, safe and secure work area
• Other duties as needed

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Essential Qualifications:

• Experience working outdoors with daily exposure to dust and dirt
• Must have basic mathematical skills, a strong eye for detail, and good verbal and written communication skills
• Available to work required shift hours/days, including Monday to Friday and some Saturdays as needed
• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work, and a valid State issued driver's license

Desired Qualifications:

• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Warehouse or manufacturing experience
• Previous experience with an automated bagging system
• Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment
