Job Title : Lead TeacherPosition : Full-TimeThe Grove Childcare Center provides a nurturing and enriching environment for children to grow and learn in a Nature-Based and STEM focused childcare learning center. Our team is passionate about fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning in every child. We believe in building strong relationships with families and the community, and we’re looking for dedicated Lead Teachers to join our team!Position Overview : As the Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of our young learners. You’re responsible for creating a stimulating and safe classroom environment, develop engaging lesson plans, and mentor assistant teachers while collaborating with families to support each child’s development.RequirementsDevelop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth. Create a positive, and engaging classroom environment, serving as a role model for children in attitude, speech, and actions. Monitor and document children's progress and development, identifying areas for improvement and individual needs. Build strong relationships with families and maintain open, ongoing communication. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and center-sponsored events. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom volunteers. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and licensing requirements. Maintain accurate records related to children's development, attendance, and any incidents.QualificationsMust meet the Wisconsin DCF 251.05(3)(f) lead teacher qualifications. At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent, as recognized by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. A minimum of 240 hours of experience as an assistant childcare teacher in a group childcare setting, as a licensed family childcare provider, or in another approved early childhood environment. Completion of required qualifications outlined in Column 2 of the WI DCF Licensing Rule Book 251.05(3)(f) before assuming the role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their growth and development. CPR and First Aid certificationAbility to multitask while maintaining a positive, organized, and clean classroom environment.
