Duties
- Prepare and bake a diverse range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Package baked goods for sale or distribution, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and addressing their inquiries about baked products.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules and ensure timely preparation of items for catering or restaurant service.
- Utilize kitchen tools safely, including knives and other baking equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry, specifically in baking or pastry preparation is preferred.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
- Strong skills in food preparation techniques, including mixing, measuring, and baking.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
