Essential Job Functions:
Oversee all accounting functions on the property and give guidance to your accounting team.
- Oversee the property accounting function to ensure information is processed and reported accurately and timely.
- Safeguarding the property’s cash, cash handling, and house banks are accurately maintained. Ensure all cash deposits are properly reconciled, logged and deposited in the bank in accordance with the company’s policies.
- Manage the property’s purchase order process ensuring expenses are properly submitted and approved prior to ordering.
- Process all vendor invoices, including coding to the general ledger, obtaining necessary approvals, and entering data into the accounting software.
Maintain the property budget and P&L in partnership with your GM and department heads
- Assist the General Manager and corporate office in the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting.
- A strong use and understanding of MS Excel-Pivot Tables, V-look Up and other advanced usage
Physical Demands:
- Sitting and working in front of a computer throughout the day
- Working in an office space.
Education:
An Associates or Bachelors degree in Finance or accounting preferred
Experience:
- Previous experience working in hotel or hospitality industry required
- Strong knowledge of mathematical acumen
- Advanced knowledge, use of Excel-V-Lookup, Pivot Tables
- Understanding of the financials of the hotel departments
