What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Psychosocial Group Leader Assistant position at The Guidance Center - Leavenworth, KS?
The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. - Assist in leading youth psychosocial groups
- Support the main group leader in facilitating group sessions
- Serve as Transportation Attendant on transportation routes to/from groups
- Help create a safe and supportive environment for group participants
- High school graduate or GED required. Must have completed one year of college course work in the field of human services, or have one year of experience in the field of human services, or one year combination of education and work experience in the field of human services
- At least 6 months experience working with individuals in the community. Experience gained through practicum experience or volunteer work can be included.
- Preferred: experience working with individuals with mental health needs
- Ability to work at least two evenings per week after 5 pm
- Competitive compensation ranging from $19.69 to $22.10 per hour
