The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Worker to join our innovative interdisciplinary team. TGC is a Community Mental Health Center and Certified Community Behavioral Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. Responsibilities:
- Engage and maintain client relationships through assertive outreach
- Provide community psychiatric support services (CPST) following a strengths-based model of case management for SED children/youth
- Support clients in achieving their goals in various life domains such as home, financial/insurance, vocational/educational, health, relationships, leisure/recreation, and daily living skills
- Assist with transportation of clients to appointments and activities when necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related Human Service field (preferred)
- Equivalent work experience in the human services field, or a combination of work experience and education, with one year of experience substituting for one year of education
- Minimum of one year volunteer or paid experience working with individuals in the community
- Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance
