POSITION SUMMARY
The primary function of this position is to assure timely and accurate billing to all payers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains strict client confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinating reimbursement activities with payers.
- Ensure billings are submitted to all payers electronically and paper in a timely manner.
- Assist with all payer claim denials/rejections/ and all non-enrollments as needed.
- Continuous monitoring and re-working of denied claims.
- Review and work accounts receivable aging reports and workbooks to follow up on items of concern.
- Matches EOB/HCFA for insurance files.
- Payment Posting.
- Stays in communication with the Reimbursement Manager and Billing Coordinator on all collection issues.
- Follow and update job aids for tasks assigned.
- Work closely with providers and intake staff to promote continual improvement in the accuracy and efficiency of the billing workflow.
- Provide top quality service to internal and external customers.
- Willingness to learn.
- Timely completion of assigned Relias trainings.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Required:
- HS diploma or GED
- Valid Arizona Driver's License and ability to obtain TGC Drivers Card.
- Ability to obtain Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- 2 years medical billing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic knowledge of office equipment and computers, navigate websites with multiple passwords.
- Pass a basic math test using computer 10-key.
Preferred:
- Ability to effectively employ analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet several sometimes-conflicting deadlines
- Knowledge of CPT, HCPC, and ICD-10 codes
- Knowledge of HCFA, UB04, 837P and 837I forms
