We have an exciting opportunity for a receptionist to join our team of talented professionals.
We have a market-based compensation structure. The estimated salary for this position will vary based on a candidate's transferable work experience and qualifications. This is a salary grade 102. Hourly rates start at $17.23.
As a Receptionist in the Psychiatric Services program, you will be responsible for the following:
- Manage the front desk and reception area
- Greet and provide assistance to all visitors, staff members, and clients which may include the provision of directions to appropriate unit or building and/or contacting the staff member requested.
- Order Office Depot supplies for the administration and other programs as necessary.
- Ensure that office equipment is properly maintained and that supplies are readily available.
- Distribute Agency Administrative mail, pick up and drop off mail to Allen Road building.
- Post and distribute all incoming checks daily according to procedures developed by Finance.
- Maintain appropriate supplies for overnight and express mail services including but not necessarily limited to Federal Express.
- Ensure that express mail is handled appropriately.
- Answer and direct calls on the switchboard.
- Maintain, schedule and reserve conference rooms.
- Data entry of company directory information.
- Order supplies and postage for the postage machine.
- Distribute payroll according to procedures developed by Finance.
- Provide other clerical and special project support to the administrative staff as necessary.
- Complete 8 hours of position or program specific training on an annual basis.
- Other duties as necessary.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, you will need the following:
- High School diploma with a minimum of 1-year business experience or one-year experience of working in a nonprofit environment.
- Experience working with high-volume multi-line computerized phone system highly desired.
- Must have the ability to multi-task, working multiple lines at once.
- Must have a customer service focus.
- Must be familiar and comfortable working with a variety of computer programs.
- Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
- Must have pleasant disposition and appropriate appearance.
- Must be able to handle and disseminate confidential information appropriately.
- Additional requirements include a nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of our clients, business partners, staff members and the programs they represent.
- Must have the ability to appropriately handle crisis situations.
