Event Manager

The Guild, Rhode Island’s largest craft brewery with a vibrant events culture, is currently looking for a passionate and experienced Event Manager who is looking to work in a dynamic environment. This individual will be responsible for leading our event execution at The Guild Warren in our event dedicated space – The Nook as well assisting in the executing of events in our event dedicated space – The Barn at The Guild Pawtucket. This position reports to the Events Director.

The Nook at The Guild Warren is a more intimate setting for rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, engagement parties and craft beer centric events. The Barn at The Guild Pawtucket is host to weddings, celebrations, corporate, non-profits and craft beer centric events.

Summary:  Candidate should be ambitious and enthusiastic, and willing to help with a little bit of everything that is required for event operations. Event Manager must be a highly motivated individual with a passion for hospitality and, who is eager and ready to accept additional responsibilities when needed and is open and willing to learn about the intricate events industry.

The ideal candidate is superior organization skills and an eye for detail and can multitask and complete projects in a timely manner. This person should demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and email etiquette. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform administrative responsibilities including replying to inquires in a timely manner, managing event calendar, filing and general office organization
• Assist in coordinating with third party vendors (caterers, florists, music, etc.) 
• Assist with event set up and breakdown
• Assist with execution of events, ability to organize and keep event flow moving smoothly

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Driver’s License and reliable form of transportation
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Flexible evening schedule and ability to work Sundays
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
• Previous event/catering or restaurant experience preferred but not required
