Associate's Degree w/ 0 years experience = $16.32
Bachelor's Degree w/ 0 years experience = $16.82
Step increases for every year of relevant experience. Average starting salary $17.21 per hour
Summary: Teacher Assistants (TA) assist work within a classroom setting at The Guild School. Guiding and mentoring these students can bring enormous personal and job satisfaction! You can become an integral part of their growth, independence, and quality of life. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to create positive impacts on their individuals’ lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. A Guild TA earns an average of $18.25 per hour based on education, experience level, and holiday pay.
Duties may include:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in the areas of academics, social skills, self-care (ADLs), and vocational tasks
- Teach generalization in skill development and community integration
- Assist in behavioral interventions/and be able to perform C.P.I. (physical intervention training provided)

Qualifications
• Bachelor preferred
• Training or experience teaching skills to a students who have mental health diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities
• A valid driver’s license
• Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI)
• Reliable transportation to residential homes located in Massachusetts
• Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals who have limited cognition and complex needs
