Team Leader/Manager: Job Description
The Team Leader/Manager is responsible for every aspect of the day-to-day supervision of the retail store, including sales, staff, stock and resources management.
The Team Leader’s role is to run a store successfully. Working on the shop floor, they are in constant contact with the customers and staff. They are responsible for ensuring the staff give great customer service, as well as monitoring the financial performance of the store.
Responsibilities of the job include:
- Training, supervising and appraising staff
- Dealing with customer queries and complaints
- Filling in where needed
- Completing monthly projects and assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Setting a positive example for all employees
- Overseeing stock control
- Maximizing profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do so
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
- Preparing promotional materials and displays
- Liaising with the owners
- Quarterly Gun Inventory Checks (with a 48 hour completion window)
- Monthly 4473 verification checks and filing correctly (training employees on mistakes)
- Leading Morning Meetings, Daily Goal Setting (Don’t do all the talking, listen)
- Pushing inventory sales to all online avenues ( Gunbroker, Ebay, FB marketplace…).
- Daily reporting to spreadsheet
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management and team leadership
- Strong skills in inventory management and control
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
