Job Overview
The Crew Leader is responsible for an assigned crew and supervises those crew members to complete any job(s) the crew has scheduled. The Crew Leader maintains all processes the company has established are always followed to complete the work assigned timely, efficiently, and with professionalism. It is important for a Crew Leader to assume the roles of coach and supporter for his or her subordinate staff members. Being the Crew Leader does not require the fastest or best installing abilities but rather to bring out the best of his or her team.

QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the roles of each crew member and assign tasks to be completed timely and efficiently with follow-up on making sure the tasks are completed to our professional standards.
  • Know your people and assist in their growth for success.
  • Communicate with customers or contractors on the job site to ensure all work is being completed to their satisfaction while following the process if changes are made last minute.
  • Make sure that all materials needed for the job(s) are loaded in the truck the night before to maintain efficiency.
  • Holding crew members accountable for not following company policies and procedures. (i.e... attendance, tardiness, safety, etc)
  • Focus on safety, teamwork, being efficient, and completing the job correctly the first time.
  • Communicate clearly to management any concerns with staff, crews, or any other issue that is felt need to be discussed or reviewed.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Complete customer work orders completely, accurately, and timely, ensuring the entire crew is efficient on the job site.
  • Document any changes or adjustments on daily work orders following the established process.
  • Turn in completed work orders with any payment to the office at the end of the workday.
  • Ability to understand, simplify, and communicate complex functionality to customers and crews.
  • Must be professional, courteous, and articulate when dealing with customers, crews, staff, and management.
  • Excellent basic math skills, working with hand power tools (i.e., drill, skill saw, gutter machine, etc.).
  • High attention to detail when dealing with materials and paperwork.
  • Document any changes or adjustments on daily work orders for billing purposes.
  • Good time management and performance management with the ability to delegate needed tasks as needed.
  • Lead by example in behavior, attitude, and work ethic.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

  • Culture of crew.
  • Production metrics.
  • Accuracy of job reports completed with quality control checks being excellent.
  • Growth of crew's skillset, quality, and speed.
  • Customer compliance feedback.

COMMUNICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Daily work orders completed and turned in daily.
  • Verbal communications with customers to provide direction and explain work that will be completed.
  • Maintain professional and open communications with all crews, crew leads, office support, and leadership.
  • Email weekly updates on progress to the leader to include accomplishments of the current week and goals for the following week.

WORKING CONDITIONSThis position will be working 10% office/warehouse environment and 90% outside. Use of company vehicles and following company policies will be followed.

  • Include physical demands – standing, lifting, use of ladders, heights other expectations, or occasional tasks.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES AND EDUCATION

  • Experience working with, or willing to learn Microsoft Office software.
  • Working knowledge of BuilderTrend or current management software
  • Working knowledge of Netchex or current time, attendance, and payroll software.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in spoken and written English. Additional language is a plus.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Work Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility based on client needs.
Work Location
Based out of Clarksville, TN, with travel to client sites as required.
