Position Summary
The Epic-certified Sr. Systems Analyst will build, support, optimize and maintain the Epic electronic health record. This role will work closely with clinicians and providers to enhance and optimize the clinical and financial workflow and processes using appropriate automated system solutions. The ability to maintain and implement new functionality, system upgrades and enhancements is required. The role requires a blending of technical skills with a reasonable comprehension of the operational department and their information systems tools and requirements. In addition, this role provides analytical expertise to information systems end users with the overall objective of improving the use of application systems functionality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Oversees and directs small to medium-scale or cross-functional projects. Develops project plans and timelines and coordinates resources to complete tasks.
- Identifies opportunities to leverage technology and application functionality to improve business practices and functionality
- Develops and documents system requirements and specifications for enhancements and change requests
- Responsible for verification that application coding meets the customer needs and agreed-upon specifications with minimal defects
- Identifies application and project issues. Develops and maintains issue list to ensure ownership. Documents mitigation and closure to issue.
- Serves as a liaison between end users, IT, and software vendors to align technology to operational business processes
- Communicates all necessary application changes, enhancements, and procedures to all necessary department teams.
- Performs analysis of new release / upgrade functionality to determine impact on user workflow
- Responsible for application documentation for workflow, enhancements, upgrades, and testing to include test scripts, scenarios, and test plans for new functionality and performs testing to identify issues or bugs and remediate issues
- Assists team lead / manager in the training and development of new Analyst
- Develops project schedule / timeline for request for service and project and communicates to project team.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education
Associate's degree with six or more years of related experience would also be accepted.
