Job Description
THE GYM is looking for a unique individual to join their Group Exercise Team. All GYM Employees must promote the Vision, Mission and Culture of THE GYM at all times and be able to inherently deliver Five-Star Customer Service throughout all functions of their duties. Teamwork, excellent communication skills, hard work and integrity are fundamental characteristics of a GYM Employee. As a member of the Group Exercise Team, an Instructor’s goal is to provide members with the best possible class experience by delivering superior skills with the highest level of customer satisfaction. Class focus, creative, fun and attention to detail and effective inter personal interactions are critical for the Instructor to deliver on a daily basis. An Instructor must be committed to the members, reliable to his/her co-workers and maintain a work space in a meticulously detailed and functional manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Instruct/lead group exercise classes in accordance with THE GYM policies and programs to assure safe, effective, and fun classes
- Maintain aerobic studios and associated equipment in immaculate condition
- Respond positively to member and the Group Exercise Director’s feedback regarding your classes
- Understand and follow THE GYM policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of others
- Complete administrative duties in a timely manner
- Participate in the marketing of THE GYM and promote membership growth and member participation in classes, events and training
- Regularly attend group exercise team meetings and other club-wide/community meetings and events
- Continually seek related educational and professional development opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Exhibit and practice a high level of dedication to THE GYM's vision, mission and culture
- Must represent oneself in a professional, ethical and respectful manner at all times
- Possess good judgment and superior customer service and communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, working with team members and clients
- Ability to motivate and inspire participants to reach Fitness and Nutritional goals
- Must be available to work a variety of work hours including day, evening, weekends and holidays
- Exhibit the characteristics of a healthy lifestyle
- Exclusive employment with THE GYM unless prior arrangements have been made
