What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kids Club Associate position at The Gym?
Who we are:
The GYM offers the latest power, cardio, functional, suspension equipment; epic studio & barre classes, extreme training ops; recovery services; locker rooms with Helo sauna's and more! The Kid's Club is a service available to members for their children while they work out. It is a supervised, indoor playground for ages 4months-7, & gaming ages 8 . The Kid's Club is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
What you'll do:
- Greet parents and supervise drop-off, pick-up and check-in for children, following the gym standards.
- Respond directly to the physical and emotional needs of each child.
- Plan & lead age-appropriate activities and programming.
- Maintains discipline, watches, and interacts with children to maintain a safe and healthy environment with respect to toys, other children, and their surroundings.
- Address all questions or concerns from parents and children, referring as needed to supervisor.
- Ensure rules and regulations are being followed within the Kids Club.
- Cleans and tidy kids club after each session, reporting issues or concerns to immediate supervisor.
- Inventory toys & games for safety issues, replace batteries as needed.
What you'll need:
- High School Diploma, GED or Working Toward.
- Previous Experience Working with Children Preferred.
- Ability to handle and resolve customer conflicts in a professional and tactful manner.
- Ability to acknowledge difficult situations and respond accordingly.
- Stand, Walk, Sit.
- Lift up to 10lbs minimum.
- Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl.
- Reach up with hands/arms.
- Visually observe objects up close and at distance.
- Effectively communicate and interact with others.
