Summary: The Machine Shop Setup is responsible for set-up, preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment including pneumatic and electrical manufacturing equipment.
Essential Functions
- Communicating between Machine Shop Supervisor and Maintenance on repair, setup and maintenance of machining equipment.
- Communicating with the Supervisor on daily basis on progress of team.
- Set-up and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical manufacturing equipment.
- Keep equipment running and maintained, continuously improve existing equipment, assist in design and fabrication of new equipment.
- Must be able to use calipers, micrometers and work with blueprints. Repairs to machinery and general labor wherever needed. Strong mechanical back round a plus.
- Must have a strong attention to detail and an ability to work independently and with a team. Good communication skills and an ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively is a must.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5 – 10 years Production experience required.
- Three years’ experience as multi-craft industrial maintenance technician preferred.
- Computer skills necessary, MS Office preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Thorough knowledge and ability to read and interpret instructions, blueprints, schematics, manufacturer’s instructions, and service manuals.
- Able to work overtime as required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs. several times a day.
- Must be able to stand for the vast majority of the shift.
Education
Preferred- Technical/other training or better
