What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Plant Operator position at The H&K Group?
Silver Hill Quarry, a division of The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Plant Operator.
The Plant Operator ensures smooth operation of plant equipment by performing the following duties:
- Perform all work according to company safety policies and MSHA policies.
- Know and follow company start and stop procedures.
- Perform daily greasing and oil checks on crushers and screens.
- Keep walkways clear of any debris and report spillage issues to superintendent.
- Perform daily guarding inspections and plant checks, reporting any maintenance issues to superintendent.
- Inspect screen media to ensure proper condition for maximum production.
- Keep operating booth clean and free from inappropriate materials.
- Carry out duties and work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase quarry operations efficiency and work crew.
- Assist workers in solving production problems when needed/required.
- Fulfill necessary paperwork daily.
